Inquiry is all about involvement that leads to understanding. Furthermore, involvement in learning implies possessing skills and attitudes that allows students to find answers to questions and challenges when when you gather new knowledge.
The need of the hour is not just learning facts and information. Facts sometimes change and information is almost available at one click. What is important is the understanding and making the sense of information.
