Our Grade 3 students in their current unit have been learning about importance of healthy choices and how these choices affect their health and well-being.This unit focuses on personal, physical, mental, social and spiritual health; along with human relationships including families and friends.
During the school assembly students did a wonderful presentation portraying their knowledge about what it means to have a balanced lifestyle and how the choices we make affect our health. Each student showcased wonderful presentation skills while they specifically highlighted the learner profile attribute – BALANCED.
A well balanced person understands the importance of balancing different aspects of their lives — intellectual, physical, (spiritual) and emotional. This balance is the key to achieve well-being for ourselves and others. This clearly portrays the power of inquiry based learning. Inquiry program helps the students to feel empowered for their own learning and focuses on real life situations. It is a great pride for the school to see its students going up on the learning curve!
